Mazarin Inc.: Announcement

THETFORD MINES, QUEBEC ("Mazarin" or the "Company") wishes to confirm that the Company's management is unaware of any material change in the Company's operations that would account for the recent increase in market activity.

Mazarin ceased its activities in the chrysotile sector in August 2007 on the date that LAB declared bankruptcy. Two subsidiaries of Mazarin were partners in LAB which was formed in 1986 to operate the chrysotile mines in the Thetford Mines area.

Mazarin's activities now consist in the development of its mining assets, comprising the sale of some land, buildings and mining equipment or the setting up of partnerships to maximize their value together with the development of the tailings.
