Senator Jerry S. Grafstein will be joining the Board of Directors
of the Corporation.

This will also reunite Mr. Grafstein in a working relationship
with Dale Taylor, President of Knight TV, who many credit as the

Additionally, Mr.Grafstein will head the Executive Committee of
the Board and will work closely with management on the
implementation of its Broadcast Strategy. We are all very thrilled

Below is a partial resume for Mr. Grafstein:
Mr. Grafstein holds degrees from University of Western Ontario
and University of Toronto. He taught in the Bar Admission Course at
Osgoode Hall and to Certified General Accountants.
Mr. Grafstein has wide-ranging legal and business experience in
all aspects of media. He was a co-founder of a range of media
companies, focusing on TV and radio broadcasting, film production,
cable, wireless communications, and publication enterprises in
Canada, the USA, the UK and South America. He was an advisor to
several key government ministries, including Transportation,
External Affairs, Consumer and Corporate Affairs and Justice.
He was co-founder of Red Leaf Communications Company, a
political advertising and production consortium. He was founder of
the Journal of the Liberal Thought.
Appointed to the Senate of Canada in 1984 by then Prime Minister
Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Mr. Grafstein served on all Senate
Committees, including the Foreign Affairs and the Legal and
Constitutional Affairs Committees. He served as Chairman of the
Senate Banking, Trade and Commerce Committee. His private member's
bills included the establishment of a Parliamentary Poet Laureate.
While in the Senate, he was the longest serving Co-Chair of the
Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group (the largest
inter-parliamentary group in Canada), and a long serving senior
officer of the Organization for Security and Co-Operation in Europe
Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), the world's largest parliamentary
organization dedicated to human rights, democratic rights, economic
security and co-operation.
He has written and lectured on communications, law, politics,
culture, trade, human rights, economic affairs, history and
advertising. His book is entitled Beyond Imagination.
Mr. Grafstein co-organized "Canada Loves New York" in November
2001, when over 26,000 Canadians visited New York City after
September 11, to assist New York City's recovery after 9/11, called
the largest peaceful invasion of Canadians since the War of 1812.
In July 2003, he co-organized "Toronto Rocks," the largest ticketed
band concert in history, attended by almost 1/2 million people, to
offset the negative impact on Toronto in the global media as a
result of the SARS outbreak. In December 2004 he co-organized
"Canada for Asia", a 3-hour broadcast telethon in aid of relief for
Tsunami victims, raising over $15,000,000.
During his professional business career, he was involved in over
forty start-ups in Canada, the United States, South America and the
U.K. He is a co-founder of The Wellington Street Post
(www.wellingtonstpost.com), an internet newspaper. While as
Senator, he was made an Honourary Chief of the New York Fire
Department and Honourary Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corp by the
Canada-United States Inter-Parliamentary Group.
On November 4, 2005 he was named one of Canada's 100 most
important "Public Intellectuals" by the National Post in their
series "Beautiful Minds".
On November 12, 2005 he was made a Duke of Friulani, Italy
(Ducato dei Vini Friulani).
Mr. Grafstein retired from the Senate on January 1, 2010. He
continues his law practice in corporate finance and communication
law as counsel to Minden Gross LLP in Toronto. He is Board member
of several listed Canadian companies. He founded and chairs The
Toronto Institute of Public Policy dedicated to practical solutions
for municipal issues. He remains active in the local and volunteer
affairs in Toronto.
