BON Bonaparte Resources Inc.

Bonaparte Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BON) ("Bonaparte" or the "Company")
announced today that it has closed the private placement previously announced on
December 15, 2010 and December 17, 2010. A total of 3,000,000 units were sold
under the offering, for gross proceeds of $1,200,000. In connection with the
offering, the Company paid finders' fees in the aggregate amount of $81,920. The
units were sold pursuant to various exemptions from the prospectus and
registration requirements of applicable securities laws, and in Canada are
subject to a four-month hold period expiring May 1, 2011.
