Inc. (TSX: ARE) announced today that its Board of Directors will
appoint Teri McKibbon, currently
President and Chief Operating Officer, as the Company's President
and Chief Executive Officer, effective June
11, 2014, at its Annual General Meeting. John M. Beck will become Executive Chairman and
will continue to serve the Company on a full time basis.

John M. Beck, Chairman and CEO,

In addition to his role as Chief Operating Officer since March
of 2011, Mr. McKibbon, 50, took on the role of President in
June 2013. He has been a member
of the Executive Committee of Aecon Group Inc. since 2006. He
joined Aecon in 1996, and previously led Aecon's Infrastructure
business.
With more than 30 years' experience integrating and managing
construction-related companies, he has a deep understanding of the
diversity and complexity of Aecon's operating environment.
Mr. McKibbon is a Trustee of the Labourers International Union of
North America, based in
Washington D.C., and the Operating
Engineers Local 793 Training Fund, based in Ontario. He is a former President of the
Canadian Pipeline Contractors Association and the Ontario Hot Mix
Producers Association, and a former Board member of the Ontario
Road Builders and Utility Contractors Associations. Mr.
McKibbon is certified by the Canadian Construction Association as a
Gold Seal Project Manager.
John M. Beck started in the
construction business in 1963 with his parents with a small
pre-cast concrete firm based in Montreal, which has grown into the Aecon we
know today. He is a respected leader in Canada's construction industry. Mr. Beck
has served as Chairman of the Board of the Ontario Power Authority
and as a director of the Canadian Council for Public Private
Partnerships. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of
the Ontario Financing Authority, the Macdonald-Laurier Institute
for Public Policy, the Canadian Olympic Foundation, a member of the
Advisory Council of the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary, and is a member of the
Canadian Council of Chief Executives. Mr. Beck was inducted
as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering on June 2, 2011. The Canadian Council for
Public Private Partnerships named Mr. Beck as its P3 Champion in
2013.
