Total Expected Revenues from the Three Projects Increase from C$68 Million to C$85 Million


An Italian subsidiary of Anaergia Inc. (“Anaergia,” the “Company,” “we,” or “our”) (TSX: ANRG) (OTCQX: ANRGF), Anaergia S.r.l., signed amendments to three previously announced contracts with an entity owned by QGM S.à.r.l. (“QGM”), relating to the development of three state-of-the-art biomethane production facilities in Ostellato, Copparo, and Derovere, in northern Italy.


As a result of these amendments, the scope of Anaergia S.r.l.’s activities across the three projects has expanded, increasing the Company’s total contracted value from approximately C$68 million to approximately C$85 million, representing an increase of C$17 million.


The three QGM projects, previously announced on March 31, 2025, and August 6, 2025, will leverage Anaergia’s advanced anaerobic digestion technologies to convert a range of agricultural residues into renewable biomethane. The facilities are expected to contribute meaningfully to Italy’s decarbonization objectives by supporting the production and injection of renewable gas into the national pipeline network.

Anaergia, Eni and CREvolution Launch Breakthrough Circular Economy Project at Gela Biorefinery, a first-of-its-kind system positioned to meet surging global demand for cost-effective renewable fuels while establishing a replicable model for HVO industry growth


Anaergia Inc. (“Anaergia”, the “Company”, “us”, or “our”) (TSX: ANRG; OTCQX: ANRGF), through its subsidiary Anaergia S.r.l., has entered into a contract with Circular Renewable Evolution S.r.l. (CREvolution) to supply its proprietary anaerobic digestion technology as part of a €50 million initiative at Eni’s Gela biorefinery. The agreement includes approximately C$13 million of Anaergia equipment and systems.


This initiative represents a breakthrough in the sustainable production of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO; Biodiesel, Biojet (Sustainable Aviation Fuel or SAF), Bionafta and BioLPG). These renewable fuels are in exceptionally high global demand, yet few competitors have built scaled, commercially proven solutions. By developing a system designed for replication across global biorefineries, the partnership establishes a clear runway for large-scale rollout in a fast-expanding HVO market.


Transforming Waste Into Scalable Low-Carbon Value


The project integrates Anaergia’s advanced anaerobic digestion system with a complementary thermal treatment process to recover and regenerate degumming soil, currently treated externally and often bound for landfill. Anaergia’s proprietary high viscosity digestion technologies are engineered to process challenging, high dry matter materials, enabling the facility to:



recover over 80% of degumming soil residues,



generate more than 70,000 MWh of renewable natural gas (RNG) annually,



materially decarbonize energy use at the Gela refinery, and



significantly reduce operating and waste disposal costs. Installation and commissioning are expected to be completed by May 2027.

Flat lined, I expected more out of these guys as they are the best public AD company on the market. The problem is AD is such a bad business!

These guys are still signing projects with a big back log. Surprised to see the PPS struggling. They are real not like BLSP!

Numbers were not great. Still the best AD company in terms of design and construction. AD is a hard business. Expectations generally exceed reality once a system is operating. AD is brick and mortar, hard to make them cheaper. Key is to design for feed stock. Big variations in feed stock really hurt AD performance.

Nothing new in AD in years, Anaergia works hard to be successful, but it is a very difficult business.

Q4 of 2021 should be out soon.

And Anaergia is an international company. This gives them a lot of access to projects. Both commercial and in the muni market

It is interesting that many developers have used Anaergia to build digesters, most of which fail financially. It does appear ANRGF is picking up these assets for pennies on the dollar.

This is a great strategy!

Anaergia appears to know how to build a digester. Now they have figure out how to make money on said digesters.

These guys do a good job building anaerobic digesters. It will be interesting to see if they can figure out how to make money at it.
