                              DIRECTORSHIP CHANGES

The Directors of The Paragon Group of Companies PLC are pleased to announce the 
appointment of David M M Beever to the Board of the Company as a non-executive 
director with effect from 8 August 2003. Mr Beever is currently a non-executive 
director of JJB Sports plc, London & Continental Railways Limited and Volex 
Group plc and Chairman of KPMG Corporate Finance. He was previously 
Vice-Chairman of SG Warburg & Co Limited.

Professor Andrew D Chambers, a non-executive director since 1991, has resigned 
from the Board. The Directors wish to record their gratitude to Professor 
Chambers for his substantial contribution and support over the years.
