honored with the Supply Chain Leadership Award in the 2014
Manufacturing Leadership (ML) Awards program.
The Supply Chain Leadership Award acknowledges IGT's
achievements in delivering the best-in-class manufacturing process
to assemble its BC20, the industry-leading Electronic Gaming
Machine (EGM) cabinet designed for Australian and New Zealand gaming jurisdictions.
Proudly manufactured in Reno, NV,
the BC20 is born of a dedicated effort by IGT employees to revamp
and optimize the Company's supply chain and related processes.
Having in-house manufacturing in the USA enables IGT to control all aspects of the
machine assembly and deliver superior product customization.
As part of a re-shoring strategy that brought all BC20
manufacturing to IGT's Reno
facility, the Company has been rewarded with a 55 percent internal
rate of return and 50 percent decrease in landed costs compared to
the expense of outsourcing manufacturing abroad.
