General Parts International Inc. is exploring a sale of its
Carquest retail store chain in a deal that could be worth $2
billion, Reuters reported Monday, citing three people familiar with
the matter.
Private-equity firms, including Leonard Green & Partners LP
and KKR & Co. (KKR), have shown interest in Carquest and
management is holding presentations for potential buyers, the
sources told Reuters.
General Parts has hired Wells Fargo (WFC) to manage the sale,
the report said.
Carquest, Leonard Green, KKR and Wells Fargo declined to
comment, Reuters said.
