The Integration Solutions division (ISD) of Quovadx, Inc. (Nasdaq:
QVDX), a global, market-leading integration and interoperability
software business serving private and public healthcare and
healthcare IT vendor organizations, today announced the successful
first wave of implementation of its Cash Accelerator Suite at BJC
Healthcare, one of the largest non-profit health-care organizations
in the United States. BJC selected the Cash Accelerator Suite and
related Professional Services from ISD for the foundation of their
front-end insurance verification standardization initiatives, to be
implemented in phases in 12 of their hospital facilities. To date,
two of the twelve hospitals are now in production. The QUOVADX
Cash Accelerator Suite, leverages BJCs existing Cloverleaf
solution, the industrys leading integration technology, to
automate and verify patient eligibility, while expediting the
patient revenue cycle across the BJC organization. In addition to
processing as many as four millioninsurance verification
transactions annuallythrough the Cash Accelerator product, the
QUOVADX Professional Services team implemented complex
revenue-cycle integration for BJC, activelyintegrating insurance
verification transactions from five disparate registration and
patient accounting systems across the organization. Our expanded
relationship with BJC is an example of how Quovadx continues to
interpret and respond to the evolving needs of our core Cloverleaf
customer base helping these organizations meet the growing and
changing business and industry landscape of healthcare integration
and system interoperability, said Mike Epplen, vice president of
product management, Integration Solutions division (ISD) of
Quovadx. We are pleased that BJC has selected the Cash Accelerator
Suite and QUOVADX Professional Services team to help the
organization achieve greater financial interoperability and
streamline patient intake across the network. The Cash Accelerator
Suite provides a single interface through which the full set of
real-time HIPAA transactions can be processed, verified, stored and
retrieved. The types of transactions processed through this system
include claim submission, claim status and referral processing, as
well as credit checks or address verifications. The Cash
Accelerator Suite will collect, translate and disseminate the data
sent from BJCs many disparate payer systems electronically and
automatically, thereby accelerating connectivity to its payers and
HIS vendors, and providing insurance verification and eligibility
prior to treatment. QUOVADX Cash Accelerator Suite, including
INSURENET Hub and INSURENET Direct modules, provide HIPAA
compliant, flexible access and real-time verification to more than
2,300 health plans in the U.S. through direct payer connections and
four clearinghouse connections. Robust data quality tools provide
for bi-directional, integrated processing to speed and simplify the
financial transaction process for healthcare providers, healthcare
technology vendors, payers and public health organizations, saving
valuable resources and increasing the speed at which claims can be
processed and paid. About BJC Healthcare BJC HealthCare is one of
