Private Business Inc. (NASDAQ:PBIZ), a leading supplier of financial technology to community banks and middle-market businesses, today announced the appointment of Brian M. Riley, as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Riley, age 40, will be responsible for bank sales, marketing, and the development of new commercial business for the Company. Mr. Riley also will be leading a restructuring of the sales division in his new role. Mr. Henry Baroco, Chief Executive Officer of PBiz, said, "Brian brings to this position an extensive financial services background, and we are pleased and fortunate to have him take this senior role on our management team. Riley most recently served as Senior Vice President of Risk Management Advisory Services for the Company. In this role, Riley has met with over one hundred of the Company's bank clients this year and successfully invigorated their interest in our BusinessManager program, which assists financial institutions in providing accounts receivable financing to commercial businesses. Prior to joining PBiz, Riley was President and Chief Executive Officer of Privest Bank of Santa Ana, California. During his tenure with Privest Bank, he directed all operations for this commercial bank and total assets increased from $25 million to over $150 during his tenure. Prior to his work at Privest Bank, Riley was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Provident Savings Bank of Riverside, California, and he has worked as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Metro Commerce Bank of San Rafael, California. Both of these financial institutions utilized BusinessManager, which is PBiz's accounts receivable financing solution. Riley has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Finance from California Polytechnic University of Pomona, California, and a Masters of Business Administration from California Baptist University.
