20th Anniversary Maximo Group Features Customer Success Stories,
Industry Leaders and Partners MRO Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: MROI),
the leading provider of asset and service management solutions,
today announced the opening of MRO World 2006. This year's theme,
"Vision 20/20" celebrates the 20th anniversary of the user
conference, and provides a forum to look into and discuss the
future. Asset management professionals from around the globe will
meet at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Fla. from
July 23-26, to share industry best practices and ideas for driving
even greater efficiency and cost-savings through asset and service
management. With attendance at a record high, the nearly 1500
attendees will benefit from a comprehensive list of client-driven
tracks that span topics such as Maximo at work in production,
facilities, transportation and IT service management to a track on
special interests covering everything from Six Sigma to service
provisioning. Amtrak, BP Exploration, Birlasoft Inc., General
Motors, 3M, BAE Systems, CVRD from Brazil, Hydro Wholesale
Generating Co. from Russia, Lockheed Martin, Roche Pharmaceuticals,
the State of Georgia, Starwood Hotels, the U.S. Bureau of
Reclamation and the New York Power Authority are among the dozens
of global enterprises that will share their Maximo success stories
with attendees. Client presentations will be complemented by an
extensive schedule of product campgrounds that will offer in-depth
technical information on specific Maximo Enterprise Suite (MXES)
functionality. "This year's user conference promises to give
customers the insight to make the most of their Maximo
investments," said Bill Sawyer, executive vice president of
Operations for MRO Software. "They'll have the opportunity to
discuss and develop MXES upgrade plans, try hands-on product
demonstrations in the Mobile and Partner Pavilion, share tips with
colleagues, and discuss best practices within their respective
industries. It's fitting that we'll be hosting a record number of
attendees here at the 20th anniversary of MRO World." Keynote
speakers feature renowned futurist Peter Schwartz, founder and
chairman of consulting firm Global Business Network, John Gant,
chief research officer and senior vice president, IDC Research, and
executive management from MRO Software discussing the industry, the
company, its products and the future. More than 50 partner
organizations will also be in attendance. These include both the
systems integrator partners such as Accenture, BAE Systems,
BearingPoint and IBM Global Services as well as the company's many
complementary services providers including EMA, ESRI, Syclo, Symbol
and OSIsoft. These organizations will be exhibiting in the Partner
Pavilion, as well as presenting in some of the break out sessions.
In addition to these activities at MRO World, there will be several
customer-driven user group meetings scheduled. User groups in the
life sciences, facilities management, oil and gas, transportation
and IT Service management will meet as part of the scheduled
activities. And, the Maximo Utility Working Group (MUWG) will hold
its semi-annual event. This is the ninth year of the MUWG, the
largest and longest running of the Maximo special interest groups.
There will be nine customer presentations by MUWG members focusing
on power generation, transmission and distribution as part of the
utilities track. The MUWG track will feature Jill Feblowitz of
Energy Insights speaking on "Asset Management Best Practices." The
