          Operations Update and New Appointments of Senior Management

Zeehan Zinc is pleased to provide an update to the market in relation to
progress at the Company's Operations in Western Tasmania and Senior Management
appointments.

Operations Update

The Gravity and Processing Plant trials continue at the Comstock mine site and
have improved ore throughput to approximately 40 tonnes per hour during a recent
six hour period. The Company's objective is to increase production trials to
achieve optimum tonnage on a consistent basis for the purposes of producing a
quantity and quality of ore suitable for ongoing commercial sales.

9,000 tonnes of high grade ore and 3,000 tonnes of intermediate grade ore have
been mined to date. The stripping of overburden from Allison's ore body is
nearly complete and the mining of the high grade ore will likely proceed for the
next 3-4 weeks.

In relation to resource, the Company's newly appointed Chief Geologist (see
below) is reviewing the priority of exploration opportunities which will be
submitted to the Board for consideration.

Board and Senior Management

Mr. Xiaojian Ren, Managing Director and CEO is pleased to announce the recent
appointments of Mr. Zhan Shu as Chief Geologist, Mr. Derek Sun as CFO and the
promotion of Mr Shane Bartel from Environmental Manager to Chief Operations
Officer with immediate effect. In connection with these appointments, Mr Paul
Rainbow has also been promoted to General Mine Manager and Mr Andrew Warburton
to Plant Manager. This team, together with the General Counsel and Company
Secretary Yasmine Healy, comprise the Senior Management team of the Company.

Commenting on the new appointments Mr Ren said:

"The Board has put significant time into selecting these individuals to perform
their vital relevant roles in the Senior Management team. The Board is confident
the strategy and direction set by the Board will be successfully implemented by
the team".

The Board has also appointed non-executive Director, Tad Ballantyne to the
position of Deputy Chairman. In addition to this role, Mr Ballantyne has been
granted authority by the Managing Director to effect certain operational and
strategic objectives. Dr. Robert Ni has been appointed special advisor to the
board of directors. Broadly speaking, Dr Ni is responsible for advising the
Board on business issues and decisions relating to China. He has been described
as the "bridge between any cultural, language or business gaps between China and
Australia".

In relation to capital structure, the independent members of the Board have
agreed, at the request of the Creat Group, to extend the date for receipt of the
final payment of the convertible note funds for one month to 15 May 2008. The
Board is also discussing with Creat Group various proposals by Creat Group for
additional funding for Zeehan Zinc to implement its business plan. This will be
presented to investors in due course when conclusions have been reached.

Biographies for new appointments:

Chief Geologist
Mr. Shu Zhan holds a B.S. degree in Geology from Central-South University in
China and a Masters of Applied Science in Mining Geology from the University of
Queensland Australia. He is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and
Metallurgy and has served over the last 25 years as consultant, senior
geologist, JV general manager and petroleum exploration geologist with various
companies including CNOOC, Placer Doom Inc, Kingsgate Consolidated Ltd, Western
Areas NL, AfriOre Ltd, Minco Mining and NGM Resources Ltd.

CFO
Mr. Derek Sun holds a B.S. degree in Bioengineering and Technical Economics from
Huazhon University of Science and Technology and an MBA in Finance and
Accounting (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Southern Europe and EDHEC
Business School in their joint program through Monaco Business School and the
Graduate School of Finance. He has served over the last 10 years as project
manager, financial and accounting analyst, senior financial analyst, associated
director of finance, finance director, director, vice president finance and vice
president with various companies including JP Morgan Securities Co. Ltd, Peak
Pacific Investment Company Ltd (a subsidiary of Alliant Energy), CT Holdings
Group Co, Ltd, Abra Mining Limited, AP Energy Investments Limited and Creat
Group Mining Investments Limited.
