Tempus Group announces that by a fax dated 17 August 2001, received from
Credit Suisse First Boston Equities Limited pursuant to S198 Companies Act
1985, it was informed of the following information:

"This is to confirm that as at close of business 16 August 2001, Credit Suisse
First Boston Equities Limited, in its normal course of business, held a
beneficial interest of 2,595,804 ordinary shares of Tempus Group Plc following
a purchase of 500,000 ordinary shares which represents 3.458% of the total
shares in issue of this class."
