                         Adjournment of General Meeting


The General Meeting of Resources Investment Trust PLC was opened at 11 a.m.
today.

The Chairman informed the meeting that, since the despatch of the Circular to
Shareholders dated 7 March 2008 (the "Circular"), it had been brought to the
Board's attention that, in order to ensure the Company's compliance with section
842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 up to the point at which the
liquidators are appointed, the second interim dividend, which was declared on
Thursday, 27 March 2008, must be paid to shareholders prior to the liquidators'
appointment.

As the dividend is to be paid to shareholders on 3 April 2008 the Chairman
proposed that the meeting be adjourned until 11 a.m. on 4 April 2008, to be held
at the offices of Keith, Bayley, Rogers & Co. Limited, Finsbury Tower, 103-105
Bunhill Row, London EC1Y 8LZ, which proposal was approved by those members
present.

The meeting was adjourned at 11.05 a.m.

With the exception of the change to the dividend payment date from 30 April 2008
to 3 April 2008 announced on Thursday, 27 March 2008, there are not expected to
be any changes to the Expected Timetable of Events set out on page 2 of the
Circular as a result of this adjournment.
