                        Declaration of Interim Dividend
                                        
The Board of Resources Investment Trust PLC (the "Company") is pleased to
announce a second interim dividend of 5.5p per Ordinary share in respect of the
year ended 30 September 2008.

The dividend will be paid on 3 April 2008 to shareholders on the register at
close of business on 27 March 2008. Please note that the payment date of this
second interim dividend differs from the stated payment date of 30 April 2008,
which was set out in the Circular to shareholders dated 7 March 2008.

Due to the impending liquidation of the Company the shares will not be marked
ex-dividend prior to the record or payment dates.
