                      CHANGE TO ACCOUNTING REFERENCE DATE

Orbis PLC ("Orbis") announces that it is extending its accounting reference date
from 31 March 2006 to 30 September 2006. The company is in initial discussions
with its senior lenders regarding a capital restructuring. The Board considered
that this could affect the financial statements and therefore agreed that, to
present these changes in their final form and in a clear manner, it would be
appropriate to defer the audited accounts.

Orbis therefore intends to publish interim accounts in respect of the period
ending 31 March 2006 in June 2006. The preliminary results for the period to 30
September 2006 will be announced in early January 2007.

This change allows a shorter reporting timetable for the March 2006 interim
figures. Accordingly, the Board is pleased to be able to provide the following
brief update on current trading.

Following the improved results for the six months to 30 September 2005, the
business has continued to focus on improving the efficiency of its operations.
Whilst sales currently remain relatively stable, the business is maintaining its
improved operating margins. Turnover continues to increase in the European
business.
