    COMPULSORY REDEMPTION


    Mineral Securities Limited (the "Company") wishes to advise that the period in which shareholders, depository interest holders and CHESS
depository interest holders were able to dissent from the price being offered for the compulsory redemption of their investment in the
Company, has now closed. 

    The Company received notification of dissent from three investors holding 188 depository interests. The Company will now deal with those
investor in accordance with the statutory process set out in the notice of 22 September 2008 (available on the Company's website at
www.mineralsecurities.com) and in the Offer Document. All other shares, depository interests and CHESS depository interests will be redeemed
by operation of law as set out in the above mentioned notice and Offer Document. 

    The Company's shares have been suspended on the ASX until formal closure of the compulsory redemption process, following which the
listings on both the ASX and AIM will be cancelled.
