                      Fenner acquires Indico (Europe) Ltd

Fenner is the world leader in the global conveyor belting market and its
products include light and heavyweight conveyor belting for the mining and power
generation markets, and precision motion control products for the computer,
copier and mechanical equipment markets.

Fenner PLC ("Fenner") today announces the acquisition of the entire issued share
capital of Indico (Europe) Ltd ("Indico"), an established manufacturer of
specialist rubber hoses for commercial vehicles, for a cash consideration of
#2.8 million.

Indico , which is based in Poynton near Manchester, UK and has an annual
turnover of approximately #3.5 million, will become part of James Dawson,
Fenner's polymer products subsidiary in Lincoln, UK. Indico's products will
complement Fenner's existing business of supplying high performance, silicone
hoses to commercial vehicle manufacturers.

Mark Abrahams, CEO of Fenner PLC, said, "The complementary product ranges will
enable Fenner to offer a complete package of hoses for use under the bonnet of
commercial vehicles. With Indico we are also uniquely positioned to develop the
full range of products which our customers will require over the coming years to
meet increasingly arduous environmental emissions legislation".

Fenner has also recently announced the opening of a hose manufacturing plant in
Shanghai, China and the expansion of its North American distribution centre in
Pennsylvania, USA. These steps, which result in the hose facilities on three
continents generating revenues of #14 million, position Fenner as one of the
leading global suppliers of specialist hoses to the Commercial Vehicle Market.
