Director's Shareholding

Eden Research, a leading UK agrochemical development company, announces that Sir Ben Gill, a non-
executive director of the Company, has been issued 39,603 ordinary shares at 50.5p per share, the
closing mid-market price on 10 July 2008.  This award of shares is in lieu of Sir Ben Gills fees and
he has agreed to be locked-in for a period of 12 months from the date of issue.

Sir Ben Gill holds 39,603 ordinary shares in the Company which represents 0.7% of the Company's issued
share capital.
