Eclipse VCT  plc  announces  that  on  4  October  2006  the  Company
purchased for cancellation 30,000  Ordinary Shares of  10p each at  a
price of 89p per share.

The issued share capital  of the Company  is now 31,139,065  Ordinary
Shares.
