       DIC Joint Venture Children's Channel Launches in five territories


DIC Entertainment Plc (DIC), the integrated global children's brand management
company is pleased to announce the launch today (Friday 7th September) of
KidsCo, the joint venture children's channel it owns alongside leading media
companies, Sparrowhawk Media and Corus Entertainment Inc.'s Nelvana Enterprises.


The channel begins broadcasting today in Romania, Hungary, Russia, Turkey and
Poland. Carriage deals have also been signed in Ukraine, where KidsCo will
launch next month, and in Asia Pacific, where viewers will be able to receive
the service by early 2008.


It is anticipated that KidsCo will be available in up to 40 territories -
including Europe and Latin America - within the next 18 months. KidsCo, a 24/7
multi-platform channel, is committed to providing a responsible and entertaining
environment for children and families around the world. The channel utilises
Sparrowhawk's state-of-the-art broadcast distribution facility in the U.S. and
the company's international network of affiliates. DIC's content will represent
up to 40% of the global channels' out put.
