Announcement on Electricity Generation in Q3 of 2022

The board of directors and all directors of China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. (the "Company") warrant that there are no false representations and misleading statements contained in, or material omissions from, this announcement, and severally and jointly accept the responsibility for the truthfulness, accuracy and completeness of the contents of this announcement.

According to the preliminary statistics of the Company, the total water inflow at the Xiluodu Reservoir by Q3 of 2022 reached approximately 42,269 million cubic metres , representing a year-on-year decrease of 20.49%, while the total water inflow at the Three Gorges Reservoir reached approximately 100,683 million cubic metres , representing a year-on-year decrease of 54.40%.

Affected by the serious shortage of water inflow in the third quarter on a year-on-year basis, the gross electricity generation of the Company's cascade hydropower projects was 53,418 GWh in Q3 of 2022, representing a year-on-year decrease of 34.20%. Among them, the Three Gorges Project generated 20,028 GWh of electricity, representing a year-on-year decrease of 51.57%; Gezhouba Project generated 4,912 GWh of electricity, representing a year-on-year decrease of 21.19%; Xiluodu Project generated 17,994 GWh of electricity, representing a year-on-year decrease of 17.60%; and Xiangjiaba Project generated 10,485 GWh of electricity, representing a year-on-year decrease of 9.69%.

In the first three quarters of 2022, the gross electricity generation of the Company's cascade hydropower projects was 148,532 GWh, representing a year-on-year decrease of 2.61% (In the first half of the year, the gross electricity generation of the Company's cascade hydropower projects had a 33% year-on-year growth due to the relatively high inflow of water, etc. See the company's semi-annual report for relevant data).
