                         Cue Energy plc ("the Company")

                              Temporary Suspension



The Interim Results for the period ended 30 June 2007 released today referred to
the Company being in discussions regarding an acquisition which, if completed,
would be classified as a reverse takeover under the AIM Rules. In the light of
this, the directors of the Company have requested a temporary suspension in
trading of the Company's shares on AIM with immediate effect.

The suspension will continue pending the publication of an admission document in
relation to the transaction or, in the event that discussions are terminated, an
appropriate announcement to that effect.


A further announcement will be made in due course.
