    ClearSpeed Technology plc received notification on 1 October 2008 that Richard Farleigh, Chairman of the Company purchased 1,225,768
ordinary shares of 0.1p each, at a price of 10 pence per share.  

    Following the above transaction, Richard Farleigh now holds 15,133,813 ordinary shares representing 24.16 per cent. of the issued share
capital.
