interests in ordinary shares of 10p each in Capital and Regional Properties
plc:

This holding of 5.09% was transferred to Phillips & Drew Life Limited by
Phillips & Drew Fund Management Limited and leaves that company now with a
holding of 13.99% of the issued share capital of the Company.

Both Phillips & Drew Life Limited and Phillips & Drew Fund Management Limited
are subsidiaries of UBS Holding Limited which as a result is treated as having
an interest in 19.08% of the issued share capital of the Company.
