The board of Cagney Plc, the marketing services group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Mattey as Chief Executive of the
Company with immediate effect.
Steve was a co-founder of Tree, the market research and data analysis business acquired by Cagney in January 2007, with Matthew
Bayfield. Before founding Tree, Steve worked on both the client and agency side of the industry. On the client side he was at HSBC Bank for
eight years, specialising in using data to deliver more efficient marketing campaigns to the bank's customers. He has also worked for
several large agencies including heading the data planning unit at WPP network Wunderman Cato Johnson.
Steve Mattey said "After more than 20 years in the marketing industry, and with half that time running my own business, I look forward
to this next challenge. In line with Cagney's established strategy, we plan to develop a group of businesses which are innovative in the
communications services they offer and which challenge the mainstream communication industry by attracting high profile business. In the
coming years the marketing industry will increasingly need to embrace the demands of consumers who have become more eclectic and discerning
in the way they gather information about the products and services they buy. Cagney and its group companies recognise this and are very
well placed to react to it as a group and as stand alone businesses. I believe we will reap the rewards for responding effectively to these
changes."

Stephen Richard Mattey holds 16,701,055 ordinary shares of 1p in the Company representing 7.65 per cent. of the issued share capital. He
has two current directorships: Tree (London) Limited and A Good Listener Limited and is also a designated member of Forest London LLP
(formerly known as Tree London LLP).
There are no other matters to be disclosed in relation to Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules.
