CAINS SECURES FIRST NATIONAL LISTING FOR A PREMIUM BRITISH LAGER

Liverpool craft brewer Cains has secured a nationwide listing with Morrisons
supermarkets for its Finest Lager, which is brewed in the UK using
premium-quality ingredients.

Cains Finest Lager, the UK's first premium British lager, will be listed in over
342 Morrisons stores nationwide from this month.

It is crafted using the finest Maris Otter malt from Norfolk to create a smooth
taste and full flavour and was voted number two in GQ magazine's countdown of
its '100 best things in the world' in 2005. The cask version has also won first
prize in the best 'English Beer of the Festival' category at CAMRA's Scottish
Beer Festival.

The new Morrisons listing follows the launch of a limited edition bottle for the
lager. Designed by legendary pop artist Sir Peter Blake, creator of the Beatles'
Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover, the limited edition
bottle celebrates Liverpool's Capital of Culture year and supports Cains'
ongoing 'Best of British' campaign.

Cains chief executive Sudarghara Dusanj, said: "To be the first British-brewed
premium lager to secure such a high-profile listing is a fantastic achievement.
It's a real breakthrough for Cains as we make the leap to a truly national beer
brand.

"When we launched the Finest Lager back in 2004 our aim was to produce a high
quality premium British lager with a full distinctive flavour.

"Since then, Cains Finest Lager has gone from strength to strength. It was our
best performing product of 2007 and already has strong distribution in
supermarkets across the North West. This new listing with Morrisons allows our
premium British lager to challenge foreign lager brands like Stella, Heineken,
Carlsberg and Kronenbourg."

Cains is official beer of Liverpool European Capital of Culture 2008 and sponsor
of Britain's Tate Galleries.

Samuel L Jackson.

- Cains' Stanhope Street brewery, known as 'The Terracotta Palace' and widely
regarded as an iconic landmark in Liverpool, was built in 1887 although brewing
started on the site when the business was founded by Irish-born entrepreneur
Robert Cains in 1850.

- With a modern vision to become 'Britain's Favourite Beer Company', Cains is
now headed by entrepreneurial brothers Sudarghara and Ajmail Dusanj, who are

Sudarghara (42) and Ajmail Dusanj (41)

- Their father came to the UK from India in 1962 and worked in a foundry, saving
for years in order to start his first business in 1983 - a fish and chip shop in
Chatham Kent, where Sudarghara and Ajmail were born and bred.

- The brothers joined their father in 1987 and expanded the family business by
purchasing run down or closed shops and converting them into fish and chip shops
or convenience stores, helping the family business to grow to nine shops

- The pair sold the family business and moved to the Midlands with the purchase
of soft drinks manufacturer Gardner Shaw, which was in receivership, in 1992.

- Gardner Shaw was successfully turned-around within three years by introducing
new product lines, servicing the wholesale pub trade and opening a number of
depots across the Midlands, increasing turnover from #450,000 to #8 million.

- In 2002 they rescued Robert Cain Brewery, which was losing #2m a year and on
the brink of closure, and turned it around within three years by concentrating
on quality, service, innovation and the Cains brand.

- The brothers completed their biggest business deal in 2007; a reverse takeover
of AIM-listed pub operator Honeycombe Leisure. The deal led to the formation of
Cains Beer Company plc, which brings together Cains' brewing operations and
growing portfolio of quality branded beers with the 100 pubs formerly operated
by Honeycombe. Sudarghara and Ajmail Dusanj are the majority shareholders of
Cains Beer Company plc, and are chief executive and chief operations officer
respectively.
