Trading Update



Cardpoint plc ("Cardpoint" or the "Company"), the market leader in the
independent cash machine sector, based in the UK, Germany and The Netherlands,
is providing the following trading update as it enters its closed period.

Mark Mills, Chief Executive Officer, stated:  "I am pleased to announce that
trading for this half year has been satisfactory reflecting our sound business
model and focus on increasing the number of transactions through all parts of
the existing estate.

The integration of Moneybox is a key area of focus and I am pleased to announce
that we are now making progress in the removal of the underperforming cash
machines in the Moneybox estate which were making the largest losses, resulting
in an immediate reduction in operating costs.  We have also started our
concerted marketing campaign which is being applied to the remaining sites in
order to increase transaction numbers. The cost reductions achieved from the
Moneybox acquisition are running in line with expectations and result from the
reorganisation and amalgamation of the operations and administration of the two
companies. This process has been ongoing for the majority of the first six
months of the financial year and is now substantially complete. The company has
incurred exceptional costs in relation to the reorganisation and these are
estimated at #1.5m.

Cardpoint's German business was affected during the month by the Cash in Transit
operator, Heros, entering administration and the situation has now been
recovered satisfactorily and we anticipate there will be minimal effect on the
full year's outcome.

Overall, Cardpoint is making good progress and we look forward to continued
momentum in the second half of the year when we typically experience higher
transactional levels due to the seasonal nature of our business."

It is anticipated that the interim results will be released on 23rd May 2006.
