STATEMENT RE PRESS SPECULATION


The Board of BDI Mining Corp ("the Company") has noted the recent press
speculation and confirms that it has received a very preliminary approach which
may or may not lead to an offer for the entire issued share capital of the
Company.  There is no certainty that this approach will ultimately lead to a
transaction or an offer.

Further announcements will be made in due course as and when necessary.

BDI Mining Corp confirms that it has 103,709,985 common shares of no par value
in issue.
