African Diamonds plc ("AFD") announces that it received notification on 9 April 
2010 that Black Rock Inc. has an indirect interest in 4,088,600 shares in AFD. 
This holding represents 4.07% of AFD's issued ordinary share capital. 
Separately, AFD was also notified on 9 April that Royal Bank of Scotland Plc as 
Trustee of the Black Rock Gold & General Fund has a direct interest in 3,998,600 
shares in the Company further to the recent placing.  This represents 3.98% of 
the Company's issued share capital.
