                    "BERGE FISTER" AND "BERGE FOREST" SOLD

Bergesen has sold the tankers Berge Fister (268,112 dwt, built 1979) and Berge
Forest (267,401 dwt, built in 1978) en bloc.  The vessels are expected to be
delivered during the second half of May 2000.

The sale will give a profit of approximately USD1,7 million in the second
quarter of 2000.
