Directorate change

Peabody, TCHG Capital plc's ultimate parent undertaking has appointed Eamonn Hughes as interim Chief Financial Officer following the planned departure of Susan Hickey on 31 January.

Eamonn is currently Finance Director, Development and Regeneration and will be in post from Monday 3(rd) February 2020. He will be supported by a strong internal team and experienced executive committee. Eamonn is an experienced finance professional, having worked for the Berkeley Group and KPMG before joining Peabody in 2018.

Commenting on the change in directorate leadership, Peabody chief executive Brendan Sarsfield said:

'I'm grateful to Susan for all that she achieved for Peabody over the years. We could not have delivered our record investment in homes and services last year without effective financial stewardship, and I should like to wish her all the very best for the future.

Eamonn already successfully leads one of our largest finance portfolios in the organisation. He is supported by a high performing team, and will ensure that we continue to have robust financial and risk management while we recruit a permanent CFO.'

On 14 November 2019 Peabody published its unaudited, consolidated trading update for the six months ending 30 September 2019 which showed a strong performance in the prevailing environment, with increased turnover and surplus. This together with an asset base of over GBP7.5 bn and available funding of around GBP1.2bn places the organisation in a strong position to continue to deliver its enduring mission and social purpose which remain unchanged.
