In early trading on Friday, the Chinese yuan showed strength against the euro. The yuan reached 10.0464, with 10.00 seen as the next upside target level. At Thursday's New York session close, the euro-yuan pair was quoted at 10.0986.

The People's Bank of China has set today's central parity rate for the euro-yuan pair at 10.0807.
