- Notification pursuant to Paragraph 14.09(a) of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange
("KLSE") Listing Requirements of Dealings During Open Period



We wish to announce that the Company has been notified on 16 July 2003 of the
following dealings in the shares of the Company by Siuagamy Ramasamy, a
Principal Officer of the Company, during an Open Period pursuant to Paragraph
14.09(a) of the KLSE Listing Requirements :-


(i)    That she has disposed in the open market, 50,000 shares of 7.5 pence in 
       Tanjong representing 0.013% of the issued share capital of Tanjong as at 
       the date of the notification;
(ii)   Date of Transaction - 15 July 2003; and
(iii)  Transaction price - RM10.60 per share of 7.5 pence.
