The contract covers four years, including the initial contract period and options, and has a value of $15.28 million if all option periods are exercised and performance incentives are achieved. Through the contract, TechTeam will both continue and expand its work for the DLA in the areas of acquisition policy and compliance, life cycle cost and funding, life cycle documentation, and program management. EBS will enable DLA to provide supplies faster, more efficiently and at a lower cost. DLA managers will now have real-time access to data, which will help the agency reduce backorders, reduce inventory investment, and align with the Department of Defense's strategic goals and objectives. The NewVectors division has worked with DLA for more than a decade, most notably supporting the agency's Business System Modernization (BSM) program, which allowed DLA to retire its legacy Standard Automated Materials Management System. The BSM Program achieved full operational capability in July 2007 and was among the first major Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) implementations in the Department of Defense.
