(CSE: ASNT) ("Ascent" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that the Company and certain of its affiliates obtained an order of the Supreme Court of British Columbia (the "Court") sanctioning and approving the Company's first amended and restated consolidated plan of compromise, arrangement and organization (the "Plan") under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act ("CCAA") at a hearing held on December 19, 2019.

The Court's sanction and approval of the Plan represents a key step towards the Company's implementation of the Plan. The Company is now diligently working towards satisfying the remaining conditions precedents to the Plan. The Company currently anticipates that the Plan will be implemented on or prior to December 30, 2019.

Copies of the Plan and other Court materials and information relating to the Plan and the CCAA proceedings are available on the website maintained by Ernst & Young Inc., the Court-appointed CCAA monitor, at www.ey.com/ca/ascent. As previously reported, Ascent is currently involved in CCAA proceedings. The Company reports that there have been no material changes to the information contained in its last bi-weekly default status report dated December 2, 2019. Furthermore, there is no other material information concerning the affairs of the Company that has not been generally disclosed. The Company confirms that, since its last bi-weekly default status report dated December 2, 2019, there have been no failures by it in fulfilling its stated intentions with respect to satisfying the provisions of the alternative information guidelines under NP 12-203.
