Silver is sitting around $66 an ounce after a strong year, which keeps the spotlight on explorers actually drilling those ounces.

Europa Sur, May 27 results:

- Hole AL26-196 cut 3.20 m of 882 g/t AgEq, or 453 g/t silver, 1.19 g/t gold, 2.29% copper, 1.50% lead and 1.99% zinc.

- Within that, a 0.95 m sub-interval ran 2,423 g/t AgEq, or 1,266 g/t silver, 3.08 g/t gold, 8.01% copper, 4.17% lead and 4.96% zinc.

- A separate intercept returned 6.20 m of 374 g/t AgEq, including 1.85 m of 655 g/t AgEq.

- AgEq grades use Oct 1, 2025 consensus prices (silver $29.73/oz, gold $2,646/oz, copper $4.34/lb, lead $0.92/lb, zinc $1.21/lb) and stated metallurgical recoveries.

The gold and copper values at Europa Sur run higher than the central Europa vein, which the company reads as a possible higher-temperature feeder zone. That points to potential for significant resource expansion outside the central vein.

The resource behind it: an initial inferred 5.37 Mt grading 202 g/t silver, 0.21 g/t gold, 0.43% copper, 0.97% lead and 2.01% zinc, or 320 g/t AgEq. That contains 34.8 Moz silver, 35,640 oz gold, 51.0 Mlb copper, 115 Mlb lead and 238 Mlb zinc, for 55.2 Moz AgEq (Jan 28, 2026).

The detail that frames the upside: the resource is defined across portions of just three of the 26 identified vein zones at Alamos.

The catalyst is a Phase II, 50,000 m resource expansion program, targeting an updated resource in the second half of 2026. Six rigs have been turning since Feb 26, 2026.

With most of the district still untested and an updated resource on deck, the gold- and copper-rich hits at Europa Sur give the next estimate real room to grow.

Why the metal stays tight:

Silver is heading into a sixth straight year of structural deficit, with 762 million troy ounces drawn from stocks since 2021, per the World Silver Survey 2026 (Silver Institute / Metals Focus, April 15, 2026).

The reason it persists is structural. Most silver is mined as a byproduct of gold, copper, and zinc operations, so higher silver prices don't automatically pull more silver out of the ground. That puts a premium on real, new primary silver, which is exactly what is hard to find.
