Seems the geopolitical situation is as ideal as possible for GSPE to do something if there was anything left in the tank at all… high oil prices.  Strait of Hormuz making supply shortages.  Trump pro domestic production.  If GSPE can’t make something happen in this environment, what would it take?!

Yes especially considering it's in expert trader status.  So the only people selling have million dollar+ trading accounts.  So they have probably made a ton of money because the rest of the stock market is on fire except GSPE.  So they have gains to offset 

Most likely someone throwing in the towel to harvest losses to offset gains realized on successful investments. I'm guessing they ( Gulfslope) will pull the plug early 2026.

Can someone with more experience with trading possibly explain the motive behind the latest trade. I know the amount of money is small, but I still I wonder why someone would want it or sell it for pennies.

There are two more lease sales coming up in 2026. The first one is on March 11 and the second in August. As I type this, I personally do not hold any hope that GulfSlope will come away with any new leases from these sales. But it is the next most likely milestone for information.
Since I purchased GSPE stock (2018) I have spent the majority of the time waiting for information. I agree with OilerHTX this lack of information is an insult.
I can’t help but think something has got to be in the works over at GSPE or why keep the lights on? Whatever that thing cooking might be.

It is an insult to investors to go radio silent for multiple years. Even the info/news tab on website is gone. Going in the wayback machine last relevant news posted 2015!! Not sure when tab disappeared. Such a slap to all that supported the company.
