Healthcare leader joins Commonwealth Care
Alliance subsidiary to manage mission-focused investments in
disruptive companies that serve individuals with the most
significant needs
Commonwealth Care Alliance® (CCA), a mission-driven healthcare
services organization offering health plans and care delivery
programs designed for individuals with the most significant needs,
today announced that Joey Campanelli has joined its Winter Street
Ventures® subsidiary as Managing Director.
Winter Street Ventures® (WSV) is an early-stage investment fund
and company accelerator that seeks to invest in healthcare focused
ventures that align with CCA’s mission and core values to explore
creative solutions that improve outcomes for patients, members, and
providers. With more than a decade of experience in healthcare,
investment banking, venture capital, and healthcare company
incubation, Campanelli will lead WSV as it supports companies that
service or focus on health plans and/or members. WSV focuses its’
investments on companies seeking to solve problems or fill gaps
that will improve the member experience, improve member outcomes,
or reduce the cost of care.

While working at multiple early and late-stage healthcare and
technology organizations across the country, Campanelli’s career
has focused on successful partnerships with executives, clinicians,
providers, creators, and entrepreneurs. Most recently, Campanelli
served as the Managing Director and Entrepreneur in Residence at
Shields at Home, LLC, a seed-stage company incubated by Shields
Health Innovations that partners with health systems to design,
implement, and grow hospital at home models. Campanelli also
previously worked at Shields Health Innovations and Shields Health
Solutions. He earned a master’s degree from Suffolk University’s
School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science from Bentley
University.
