Amazon Brings Prime Now to Dallas, Offering One-Hour Delivery of Daily Essentials

Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) today announced that
Prime Now has expanded to Dallas. The ultra-fast delivery service
offers one-hour delivery on tens of thousands of daily essentials
through a mobile app.
“We know Dallas members are going to love the convenience of
one-hour delivery through Prime Now,” said Dave Clark, Amazon’s
senior vice president of worldwide operations. “Our existing
operations in Dallas-area that utilize advanced technology to
fulfill customer orders are now home to a Prime Now hub that is
fueling this super-fast delivery.”
In 2013, Amazon opened two fulfillment centers in the Dallas
area, creating more than 1,500 full-time jobs locally.
Prime Now is launching in select Dallas-area zip codes today and
will expand rapidly to additional zip codes in Dallas and
surrounding areas soon. All Prime members can download the Prime
Now app, available on iOS and Android devices, and will be notified
when the service is available in their local area. In Dallas, Prime
Now is available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Two-hour delivery is free and one-hour delivery is available for
$7.99 in most zip codes.

Prime Now is currently offered as a benefit to Prime members in
