New Visual Names Experienced Telecommunications Executive as Chief Marketing Officer SAN DIEGO, March 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- New Visual Corporation (OTC:NVEI) (BULLETIN BOARD: NVEI) , an emerging provider of semiconductors to the broadband telecommunications industry, announced today that telecommunications leader David Wojcik has joined New Visual to initiate its market entry strategy. Mr. Wojcik has more than 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and a proven record of success as an executive with Alcatel, DSC Communications, Tellabs and Neutral Tandem. He has led sales and market development efforts to major Regional Bell companies, municipalities, and independent telephone operating companies including SBC, Qwest and MCI. Alcatel is a global multi-billion dollar data and telecommunications manufacturer, and currently commands 40% of the worldwide DSLAM port shipments, according to Dittberner Associates. New Visual's product, the Embarq(TM) family of transport processors, operates inside DSLAMs. At Alcatel, Mr. Wojcik served as vice president of sales where he developed and led a new broadband solutions organization, and also turned around a poor performing business group into a long term balanced revenue stream. Under his leadership, Alcatel achieved new incremental business growth of over 400% within a 30 month period including growing the broadband solutions market an incremental $40M while achieving high margins. Prior to joining Alcatel, Mr. Wojcik served in a variety of capacities with DSC Communications, which was purchased by Alcatel in 1998. He was instrumental in helping DSC establish its market leading position in DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) and NGDLC (Next Generation Digital Loop Carrier) with the Bell Operating companies and other major carriers. Mr. Wojcik also served as Chief Technical Officer and founder of Neutral Tandem Corporation where he co-developed the business plan and assisted with completion of the patent. As Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Wojcik is responsible for product line management, sales and marketing. He is joining New Visual as a consultant until the company secures additional financing under a contemplated transaction. Under his consulting agreement, Mr. Wojcik will craft the distributor channel, create the marketing collateral, engage a direct sales force, and direct the company's marketing communications. David Wojcik stated, "The major wireline carriers throughout the world continue to invest and evolve their networks to ever increasing capacities. I am pleased to be joining New Visual at this exciting time. With the commercialization of Embarq(TM), New Visual has the opportunity to capitalize on the limitations of existing technologies and introduce a new breakthrough broadband product. The rapid transition to Next Generation Access networks combined with hypergrowth of the broadband revolution provides the market opportunity for New Visual to create significant shareholder value." Brad Ketch, President and Chief Executive Officer of New Visual, stated, "I welcome Mr. Wojcik as a proven industry veteran with strong leadership who will work with me to take New Visual to the commercialization of Embarq(TM). I am confident that under his guidance, Embarq(TM) will make a powerful entry into the market."
