--Austria's Erste Group Bank AG is in advanced talks to buy the Czech consumer-finance business of French lender BNP Paribas SA, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources.

--A deal could be announced in the coming weeks but isn't certain to be sealed, Bloomberg reports, adding that the business has the equivalent of some $463 million in loans and a share of more than 20% of the Czech credit-card market.

--Spokespeople for the two banks declined to comment to Bloomberg.
