FLJ Group said it would acquire insurance agency Alpha Mind for $180 million, or the equivalent in Chinese yuan. The Shanghai-based company said Alpha Mind recorded revenue of $44.9 million. Shares almost tripled to 29 cents in after-hours trading.

General Motors' driverless-car unit, Cruise, will eventually reintroduce its taxi service following safety incidents. The company plans to scale back future operations to one market in one city.
