Engie SA said Thursday that it has partnered with ArianeGroup to accelerate the decarburization of heavy-duty and long-distance transportation through renewable liquid hydrogen.

The two companies will develop and test liquefaction technology for the development of a hydrogen liquefier at a ArianeGroup's facility in France, as well as develop products and services for maritime and inland waterways.

ArianeGroup is a joint venture between Airbus SE and Safran SA.
