The bank appointed Saverio Perissinotto, currently general manager of private banking, to succeed Mr. Corcos as chief executive and general manager of asset management.

Marco Rottigni will be responsible for the international subsidiary banks division after nearly two years as chief lending officer for Intesa's governance area, the bank said.

Intesa said Raffaello Ruggieri, currently head of the global corporate department and investment banking, will succeed Mr. Rottigni as chief lending officer for the governance area.

Paola Angeletti, head of international subsidiary banks, will be chief operating officer for the governance area.

All the new appointments will be effective from Jan. 1.
