E.ON SE (EOAN.XE) said Thursday that it will install and operate
a large charging network for BMW AG (BMW.XE) in Germany.
The German energy company said more than 4,100 new charging
points for electric vehicles will be installed in the parking lots
of production plants, development centers and office locations for
BMW's employees and guests. Half of these will be accessible to the
public, according to E.ON.
The company also said it will deliver high-quality charging
stations made for garages and other private parking spaces in order
to allow BMW car owners in Germany to charge their electric
vehicles at home.
The project is expected to be completed by 2021, E.ON said.
