Image Metrics Names Armando Pena as Vice President of Mobile Technology

Image Metrics Inc. (OTCBB: IMGX), a leading provider of facial
animation technology, today announced that Armando Pena has been
named vice president of mobile technology. In his new role, Pena
will lead the development of upcoming mobile products based on the
company's avatar creation and animation technologies, such as the
recently announced PortableYou™.
A computer scientist and seasoned entrepreneur, Pena brings to
Image Metrics more than 15 years of experience in mobile, video,
social networking and virtual goods. Pena will be responsible for
delivering innovative new products across a range of mobile devices
and networks.

Metrics’ growth and dedicated push into the consumer market,” said

transform the way people interact on mobile devices through our

Pena’s primary level of expertise is in highly scalable and
available distributed services, having successfully raised $3.5
million of private investment for two mobile startup companies.
Previously, he was the CEO and CTO of Fotochatter Inc., a mobile
social networking company, where he helped raise private funding
and was responsible for the company’s successful launch. Pena has
also served as lead technologist for Sony Corporation’s Sony
Connect Video Services division. Prior to that, he was the CTO at
Gopix and director of technology at Sony Pictures Digital. Pena
began his career at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he
developed information systems for various flight projects. He is a
graduate of Cal Poly Pomona with a bachelor’s degree in computer
science.
