The bundled solution, which includes the XSP-100 SHARK(TM), a T1 integrated access device (IAD) and the ARCA-DACS 100(TM), a digital cross-connect system, provides a complete end-to-end access solution to provision a new generation of T1 circuits as a managed service from the carrier's central office to the customer's premise. The OSMINE cerification is an important aspect of the bundled offering. The completion of the Telcordia OSMINE services process allows ILECs to pre-qualify the ordering, circuit engineering and provisioning of the service. This flow-through integration process reduces provisioning intervals and associated costs, and results in quicker turn-up of service for the carrier's end customer. With the capacity for up to four T1's of bandwidth, the SHARK can support up to 6 Mbps of integrated voice and data traffic, and easily integrates with the carrier's voice switch. A scalable Digital Access and Cross-Connect System (DACS), the ARCA-DACS 100 is ideally suited for grooming fractional T1s at the network access facility allowing carriers to choose switching granularity from DS3-based down to DS0-based, creating an all-in-one efficient and economical platform.
