EBay Inc. lowered its full-year guidance after swinging to a loss in the second quarter.

The company said on Wednesday that it now expects revenue between $9.6 billion and $9.9 billion for the year, compared with its outlook issued in May that looked for $10.3 billion to $10.5 billion in revenue.

For the year, eBay now projects a loss from continuing operations of $1.83 to $1.98 per share, or an adjusted profit of $3.95 to $4.10 per share. In May, it projected loss from continuing operations of 5 cents to 25 cents a share, or an adjusted profit of $3.90 to $4.10 a share.
