--Amazon.com Inc. is pausing construction on its massive second headquarters in Arlington, Va., Bloomberg reports, citing a statement from Amazon real-estate chief John Schoettler.

--Mr. Schoettler says Amazon remains committed to the project near Washington, Bloomberg reports, adding that the construction moratorium will delay the e-commerce giant's full arrival at its biggest real-estate project.

--The pause coincides with Amazon's deepest ever job cuts and a reassessment of office needs to account for remote work, Bloomberg reports.
